Happy April from Saskatoon Cycles
We have started off 2013 with a great leap. Edwards School of Business has accepted our proposal and we have two fantastic students working on a project for us. Welcome to Nena Fyke and Spencer Chilliak who have embraced the project with great enthusiasm and competence. They will be developing a strategic plan to help focus our energies on making Saskatoon a safe cycling city for all ages. We look forward to a report from them by the end of April.
Another project, proposed by our member Dr Dan Fuller will study cycling collisions from a database of incidents in Saskatoon. We interviewed four candidates in the Masters of Public Health program, and we welcome Anna Chen. This project will run from May through July. Saskatoon Cycles volunteers will be needed to help with “on the ground” research required to analyze the collisions. Contact Dr Dan Fuller
We have written several grants to support these projects and to help un-funded groups use the bike valet for their events.
We are off to another great cycling season.
