RIDE Saskatoon
Sunday, October 6, 2013
2:30 pm – meet-up at the Band Shelter in Kiwanis Park (south of the Bessborough). Enjoy a leisurely and sociable cycle with friends old and new. Rational dress and natural fibres (wool) are encouraged. Tweed riding is sweeping the continent. We invite bicycle lovers, fashionistas, historians, steampunks, environmentalists, and everyone else who enjoys a spirited afternoon of riding and a hot cup of tea to join in on a day of adventure in Saskatoon.
The self-guided route will be between 5 and 10 km long. Riders are welcome to join in or drop out at any point. There will prizes awarded for most marvelous moustache, most dapper chap, most dashing dame, and the tweediest! Socializing and libations at a Saskatoon pub will follow. The goal is to have a fun, relaxing day of cycling, making friends and enjoying non-motorized transport.
